Expert advice to keep your vehicle in top condition

Regular maintenance is the key to a long-lasting, reliable vehicle. Follow these guidelines to get the most out of your car.

Engine Oil Change

⏱ Every 10,000–15,000 km or once a year

Oil changes are the most critical maintenance task. Fresh oil lubricates components, reduces friction, and prevents overheating. Always use the grade specified for your vehicle.

Filter Replacement

⏱ Oil filter: with every oil change · Air filter: every 20,000 km

Filters protect your engine and cabin from contaminants. A clogged air filter reduces performance and fuel economy. Cabin filters should be replaced annually for clean interior air.

Brake System Check

⏱ Every 20,000 km or at any sign of unusual noise

Brake pads, discs, and fluid degrade over time. Never ignore squealing, grinding, or a soft pedal. A full brake inspection ensures your vehicle stops safely in all conditions.

Tyre Maintenance

⏱ Check pressure monthly · Rotate every 10,000 km

Correct tyre pressure improves fuel economy, handling, and safety. Check for uneven wear patterns which can indicate alignment or suspension problems.

Air Conditioning Service

⏱ Recharge every 2–3 years

The A/C system loses refrigerant over time, reducing cooling efficiency. Regular servicing also prevents bacterial growth, keeping your cabin air clean and fresh.

Battery Health

⏱ Test annually · Replace every 4–5 years

A failing battery is a leading cause of breakdowns, especially in winter. Modern vehicles place high electrical demands on the battery. Have it tested at the start of each winter.

Timing Belt / Chain

⏱ Timing belt: every 60,000–100,000 km

A snapped timing belt can cause catastrophic engine damage. Follow the manufacturer's replacement schedule strictly. Timing chains last longer but should still be inspected.

Coolant System

⏱ Flush and refill every 2 years

Coolant prevents your engine from overheating in summer and freezing in winter. Old coolant loses its anti-corrosive properties, potentially damaging the radiator and water pump.
